Ingredients:

  • 45ml Gin
  • 15ml Maraschino Liqueur
  • 15ml Lemon Juice
  • Cherry

Method:

  • Shake the gin, maraschino liqueur and lemon juice in a shaker filled with ice
  • Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass
  • Garnish with a cherry

History:

Created in New York and first published in 1916. The original version of this cocktail also used Creme De Violette which gives the cocktail a purple tint which you sometimes see in pictures.
